3 inches too much!
It was a flight to Pune and I was sitting in the aisle seat. Safety announcement by Air Hostess was going on and I was trying to fasten the seat belt. But oh, it’s not fastening. It is just short. I heard during the safety announcement that passengers can ask for extra belt. Oh, so have I crossed the extreme fat end of a normal person as perceived by airlines? Do I have that much broad waist? These questions were flashing in my mind and thought of asking for the extra seat belt brought trickles of sweat to my forehead. I resolved and in one quick snap, I breathe in and fastened the seat belt on my abdomen. Despite of discomfort I sat in that position for the rest of the flight. Moreover, I could sense that there is no particular interest or charm in me being in the flight. I was very ignorable I would say nothing special.
My resolve to get fitter became stronger.
A day came when I have to pull the loose end considerably to tighten the safety belt. Airline staff’s glances from both the genders were adding to the experience. I can sense a kind of adorability in the flight.
