After 12-14 years of formal schooling and then 5-6 years of college/university education doesn’t guarantee that we learn about the criticality of instruments like preventive health check-ups, medical insurance, life insurance, home loans, EMIs, warranties and AMCs. These and many more such instruments are the way of modern life. When a student becomes a self-reliant citizen he/she is caught unaware about these safe and secure ways to lead one’s life. Opting in or opting out of these instruments is ok but that should be a well informed decision.
This calls for systematically exposing students to these instruments as part of their curriculum in schools, colleges and homes too.
